Heroes kinda of reminds of michael bay movies alot of flash but a pretty bad sense of story strucure and character advancement, They seem to have all their "Heroes" act out of character to advance the plot. By the way the second season is just awful, and do not try to compare this slump to LOST's at the beginning of third in both terms of critical reaction and ratings LOST did not even get close to reaching this low and escaped unscathed (Don't beleive me look it up) and according to nielsen LOST was the higher rated show through out the tv season. Heroes can and will most likely make a come back but i think after all the lost bashing and heroes loving at the beggining of last tv season people need to realize in terms of dramatic storytelling on TV LOST stands the current and obvious #1.
