Jericho’s Alternate Ending

Apparently, when they filmed the ending for this Season’s finale of Jericho, they filmed two endings. Via TV Guide:

TVGuide.com: Will viewers have any burning questions coming out of the alternate ending/series finale?

Carol Barbee: Let me see…. I can tell you that in the original ending, Hawkins has to sacrifice himself to let Jake get away with the bomb and get it to Texas so it can be tested and prove that they were telling the truth. Texas would then swing their support to Columbus and defeat Cheyenne.

Carol also said:

TVGuide.com: Does Hawkins mortally sacrifice himself, or just let himself get captured?
Barbee: Well, he gets captured but he’s also shot…. He’s pretty messed up, and Jake feels like he’s leaving him for dead. So we show you where he’s taken and you see that the mission for the next season is, “We have to go rescue Hawkins and we have to stop these [bad] guys.” When they see the alternate ending, it certainly completes the story from this season and tells you everything you need to know to have understood Season 2. It just doesn’t point to that next mission. You meet John Smith, the guy who’s been pulling the strings. It’s [played by] Xander Berkeley (24). You’ve heard him on phone calls, and Hawkins is surprised by who he is and where he is. So you know who John Smith is, you know who planned the attacks, you know why, you know how….

Both endings are good, but the new ending definitely wraps things up a little better. The original ending would have left us wondering what in the world was going to happen to Hawkins. I was very happy with the ending they came up with. I hope that somehow Jericho lives on, which brings me to…

From what I understand Jericho did get decent ratings, which means that it could get picked up by someone else (especially a cable station). I will go ahead and my cross fingers on that news…

Jericho - Best Scene This Year On TV

In the season finale of Jericho, my favorite scene was the air fight. In fact, I think that in the context of the whole story this was the best scene I have seen all year on tv. What do you think?

Here it is:

PS. Apparently the person who uploaded it to YouTube shared my feelings about the scene. It was really cool!

Jericho Is Over

I just watched the last episode of Jericho and it was really good. I am going to miss Jericho A LOT! I really enjoyed it. In my opinion Jericho was one of the 5 best shows on tv.

They ended it in such a way they could have brought it back for a third season, but even with the cliffhanger ending it was still a good ending for a great show.

Well, Jericho is over… and all I have left to say is… “NUTS!”

Jericho Rocks… Well For One More Night…

I have been sick with the flu and I am just now catching up with some of my TV watching. I just watched the last two episodes of Jericho and I am REALLY BUMMED that there is only one episode of Jericho left. Jericho was one of the best shows on tv. I realize it’s ratings weren’t that great, but that’s not the show’s fault. The show was awesome!

I will miss Jericho, but I am VERY thankful that CBS brought it back this season to wrap it up. CBS said it’s really over this time. It makes good business sense, because it’s not getting the ratings they would like it to get. I wish that the networks would occasionally ignore ratings and keep shows like Jericho because they are just plain good. Unfortunately that’s not the way it works…

NUTS!

Do You Want To Get Really LOST?

I just found this post (via sfsignal) that explains the last episode of LOST. I don’t think I have ever seen a more in-depth analysis of a TV show, EVER!

It quite frankly made me feel even more LOST.

Anyway, check it out if you want to try and figure out what is happening on the island…

What Have I Been Watching?

Besides American Idol and the Super Bowl, I have not been watching a lot of TV lately.

I did manage to watch two episodes of Chuck last week. Chuck is possibly my favorite show on TV (it’s a close call between Chuck and Heroes).

I also watched LOST, which was a really good episode. I don’t think I like the glimpses into the future, but other than that it’s been fun to watch.

I have been watching Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice and while I enjoy it, the people on the show seem to have less desire to win at all costs than the normal apprentices.

Anyway, I have been rather busy lately, so I might start doing weekly round-ups of shows that I watch, instead of discussing each show separately.

Lastly, I am glad that it looks like the writer’s strike will be over soon. I would hate to see reality TV be the ONLY thing on TV the rest of the year.

Heroes - Create Your Hero Online Campaign

Sprint and NBC are running an online campaign that gives you a chance to create a new hero that will be featured in a new series of live action webisodes next year and the possible inclusion of the character into the show itself. You get to vote each week through December 17th, either online or via text exclusive on Sprint phones (HEROES text 6789), to choose all the characteristics of this new hero.

You can click here to go check it out.

Here is a good video describing the “Create Your Hero” campaign:

Hana Gitelman Online Game

I just read over at sfsignal that there is a new Heroes game called “Evolutions”. Evolutions is the story of Hana Gitelman’s attempt to track down the mysterious Richard Drucker. Looks like fun, I will have to check it out.

Thanks JP for the heads up…

What did you think of the Season 2 finale of Heroes?

Last night was the season 2 finale of Heroes. I have talked to people who both enjoyed it and hated it. What are your thoughts? Did it suck? Was it the best show ever? Was it just alright? Take the poll below to let us know…

Who Are They Killing Off - Could It Be Hiro?

I just watched the preview for next week’s episode of Heroes and when I first saw it I thought to myself, “Who are they killing off?” It’s got be Nikki, but who else? Maybe Nathan, maybe the new girl who is a muscle mimic, maybe Maya, but then…

I was just watching the previews and I think they might kill off Hiro…

When Adam looks down at the ground and Peter says, “let’s go destroy the virus” I thought to myself “Oh my goodness, Adam is looking down at Hiro’s dead body!”

Now, that would be a total shock, but I think it is quite possible. On second thought, I just can’t imagine them killing off Hiro.

Here are the previews, let me know who you think will die?

First, here is the cliff hanger ending from this week’s episode of Heroes:

My top guesses for being killed off on Heores next week are Niikki and Maya… actually I am hoping it’s Nikki and Maya.

Was Heroes 2×10 Truth and Consequences To Fast Paced

Last night’s episode of Heroes was fun to watch, but one thing I was wondering through out the show was whether or not they rushed this episode, because of the writer’s strike.

Even though I like the fast pace, it seemed a bit rushed. Maybe I felt that way, because I know they cut it short due to the writer’s strike.

What do you think, was Heroes “Truth and Consequences” to quick?

Please take our poll (below):

Heroes Chapter 60 - REVOLUTIONARY WAR - PART ONE

This week’s Heroes comic “Chapter 60 - REVOLUTIONARY WAR - PART ONE” is very interesting. It shows what Adam Monroe was doing in the 1770s. I have a feeling it is also introducing us to another character we will be seeing on the show soon (probably someone older than Adam). Check it out here:

Top 5 Scenes From Heroes 2×09 Cautionary Tales

Last night’s episode of Heroes (Cautionary Tales) was really good.

I was bummed that Noah Bennet (HRG) didn’t kill Mohinder. I liked Mohinder when the show started, but he has become somewhat “stupid” for a doctor… not killing Sylar when he could, believing the people in “the company”, etc.

Anyway, here are my top 5 scenes from the show:

1. Noah walks out to find West and West flies in and swoops Noah into the air.

2. Hiro stops time to see that Adam Monroe killed his father (looks like I was right with my first guess).

3. Matt Parkman’s interrogation of Mrs. Petrelli was a bit disturbing, but one of the most memorable scenes. Looks like he is turning into a “bad” good guy (if that’s possible).

4. When Noah tells Bob the company dies with him, it sounded like Bob is all that was left to keep the company going. That was a very memorable scene, epsecially when Mohinder shoots Noah.

5. The final scene where Noah regenerates and wakes up saying “Holy Sh..” then the “To be continued” screen appears.

What were your favorite scenes?

Heroes Fourth Months Ago

Last night’s episode of Heroes - “Four Month’s Ago” was really, really good.

Jill said it should have been the first episode for the year. I think it should have either been the first episode of the year or the first half of season should have been cut in half to lead up to this episode.

Here is a quick recap of the show:

Adam Monroe helped Peter remember the past by telling Peter to heal his brain. That was pretty cool. It means the Haitian can’t permanently remove Peter and Claire’s thoughts.

We got to see Nathan’s messed up face from the severe burns he suffered from saving New York. Adam used his blood to heal Nathan after Peter broke Adam and himself out of the prison the company was keeping them in.

DL survived the gunshot from Mr. Linderman, but later when he tracks down Nikki someone else shoots and kills him. That kind of stunk.

We find out about power removing pills that the company has made. Peter and others take the pill to temporarily remove their powers. My guess is that they were giving Sylar these chemicals and Sylar will have his powers back very soon.

We get to see the beginning of Maya and Alejandro’s powers. It was interesting, but still not my favorite story line.

The show ended with Peter remembering everything and Adam asking him if he was ready to “save the world.”

We still don’t know whether the company is good or bad and whether or not Adam is good or bad. Here’s my guess… the company is trying to do what is best for the heroes, but it’s plans are not good for everyone. Adam is tricking Peter into something. If you ever watched Alias, you know why I think Adam is a bad guy.

In other heroes news…
Tim Kring says that Decmeber 3, they will air an “out-of-the-blue cliff hanger ending to the season”. Cool!

Last but not least, here is the preview for next week’s episode:
