Jericho - Best Scene This Year On TV

In the season finale of Jericho, my favorite scene was the air fight. In fact, I think that in the context of the whole story this was the best scene I have seen all year on tv. What do you think?

Here it is:

PS. Apparently the person who uploaded it to YouTube shared my feelings about the scene. It was really cool!

Heroes - Create Your Hero Online Campaign

Sprint and NBC are running an online campaign that gives you a chance to create a new hero that will be featured in a new series of live action webisodes next year and the possible inclusion of the character into the show itself. You get to vote each week through December 17th, either online or via text exclusive on Sprint phones (HEROES text 6789), to choose all the characteristics of this new hero.

You can click here to go check it out.

Here is a good video describing the “Create Your Hero” campaign:

Hana Gitelman Online Game

I just read over at sfsignal that there is a new Heroes game called “Evolutions”. Evolutions is the story of Hana Gitelman’s attempt to track down the mysterious Richard Drucker. Looks like fun, I will have to check it out.

Thanks JP for the heads up…

Heroes Chapter 60 - REVOLUTIONARY WAR - PART ONE

This week’s Heroes comic “Chapter 60 - REVOLUTIONARY WAR - PART ONE” is very interesting. It shows what Adam Monroe was doing in the 1770s. I have a feeling it is also introducing us to another character we will be seeing on the show soon (probably someone older than Adam). Check it out here:

Heroes - Out Of Time Quick Recap

I missed Heroes last night, but saw it this evening on DVR. WOW! It is starting to get much more interesting. Here is my quick recap of Heroes “Out of Time”:

1. Peter and Caitlin learn more about the future. Peter meets his mother in the future and his mother sends him thoughts of the past. Apparently, Mrs. Petrelli has the same power as Mr. Parkman.

2. Matt traps his father in his own nightmare and saves Molly. That was really cool.

3. Niki and Mohinder’s first assignment is to give the virus to Mr. Parkman. It doesn’t exactly go as planned.

4. West sees Mr. Bennet and freaks out.

5. Nathan learns about the past from Bob. I think Bob must have left out some critical pieces. At this point it looks Takezo Kensie (aka. Adam Moreno, aka Julian Sark) is the man behind the killings. Boy did he keep a grudge for a very long time.

6. Hiro saves history, but gains a lifelong enemy. I thought Kensei (Adam Moreno) was the one who killed Hiro’s dad and looks like he did.

7. Suresh tells Bob about Mr. Bennet’s plans to take down the company. What was he thinking???

8. Peter comes back to the present. When he gets back he is greeted by Adam Moreno, the infamous Takezo Kensei. The actor playing Adam Moreno (I am too sleepy to look up his name right now), was a terrific bad guy when he played the role of Julian Sark on Alias. I have a feeling he will make a really good bad guy on Heroes as well.

So that, was my quick recap of the show. Pretty fun and exciting. Next week, looks even better. Here is the US Preview for Heroes 2×08 “Four Months Ago”:

Heroes - The Line

Last night’s episode of Heroes “2×06 The Line” was pretty good.

My favorite part of the show was when Takezo Kensei (David Anders) hit Hiro in the back of the head and turned Hiro, Yakeo and her father into White Beard. It reminded me of David Anders days as Julian Sark on Alias… I thought to myself, “That’s the Sark I used to love to hate.” I kind of hope that his character does turn into a bad guy, because those of us who watched Alias know what a good job he can do playing a bad guy.

As for the rest of the show, here is my really quick Synopsis:

  • Peter and Caitlin travel to Cananda and then to New York in the future. Someone named Adam leaves Peter a note about the company.
  • Mohinder challenges Bob. Bob gives into Mohinder and assigns Nikki to work with Mohinder.
  • Noah Bennet and the Haitian find Isaac’s series of 8 paintings.
  • Monica gets help from Bob and the company to harness her muscle mimic ability.
  • West helps Claire get back at the head cheerleader, which ultimately helps her join the cheerleading squad. Hopefully this doesn’t mean another “Save the Cheerleader…” slogan is coming.
  • Maya, Alejandro and Sylar finally reach the US. I am hoping that REALLY soon the wonder twins (Maya and Alejandro) kill Sylar or vice versa.

Here are some previews of next week’s episode (as usual, the Canadian one gives away more):

Who killed Kaito Nakamura?

I mentioned the other day that I thought Mr. Parkman was behind all the murders of the “12″. Then I found this interesting video on youtube. What do you think?

Molly’s Nightmare And Next Week’s Heroes Preview.

In this week’s Heroes comic we get to see Molly’s nightmare. Apparently, Molly doesn’t like cockroaches…

You can read the graphic novel by clicking here.

Also, here are the previews for next week’s episode of Heroes 2×6 “The Line”. It looks Sylar wants to kill off Maya and Alejandro. Too bad he can’t kill off the Bionic woman

NBC Heroes 2×03 Kindred Preview

For those of you who missed it.. here is the preview for next week’s episode of Heroes - “Kindred”. At the end of this preview I think that Mr. Bennet is talking on the phone to Claire’s biological mother. Whoever it is, Claire does not look pleased…

Quick Summaries Of Heroes Graphic Novels (Comics) 1 - 52

I know several people who don’t read the Heroes Graphic Novels. So I thought I would create this post for people like them.

For those who don’t realize it, NBC releases a new Heroes graphic novel (comic book) every week on their website. In fact, they have been releasing them during the hiatus between Season 1 and Season 2 (that’s a lot of reading). Also, for those who haven’t read them in while, they are now releasing animated versions of the comics.

The graphic novel fills in some of the gaps between each episode of the Heroes TV show and provides extra information about some of the characters. In this post, I will be giving a very brief summary of each graphic novel to date (all 52 of them). If you want to read more you can always head over to the NBC Heroes Graphic Novels library and check out all the comics yourself.

Chapter 1 - MONSTERS
This was a bad way to start off the graphic novels. Chapter 1 was one of the most boring novels of all. It covered a little bit of background on Suresh and his father.

Chapter 2 - HIRO
This might have been the second most boring of the novels. They do get better from here. This one shows a short stop Hiro made in between episode 2 and episode 3 of Heroes. He throws out his employee badge and makes a promise to his deceased grandfather.

Chapter 3 - NATHAN
This one was cool, because up to this point you might be thinking that Nathan is not such a good guy. In this comic Nathan rescues a woman’s daughter from a burning building by using his power of flight. He leaves the daughter a “vote for Petrelli” button, which was pretty funny.

Chapter 4 - AFTERMATH
This was one of the best ones to bridge a gap between shows. It shows what happened between episode 4 and 5 after Claire crashed her car into the wall. The jock finds out about Claire’s ability to regenerate in this comic, but thanks to the Haitian not for long…

Chapter 5 - SNAPSHOT
This comic reveals how DL found about his powers after being arrested for Nikki’s crime. It’s a decent read for DL fans.

Chapter 6 - STOLEN TIME
This comic shows how Nikki stole the money and it reveals the identity of all those dead bodies that she buried in the desert.

Chapter 7 - CONTROL
Chapter 7 is a story about officer Parkman after he learns about his wife’s affair. Parkman uses his super power to catch a bad guy driving around like a maniac. This was another one of the most boring Heroes graphic novels in my opinion.

Chapter 8 - ISAAC’S FIRST TIME
In chapter 8 we get to see the first artwork of Isaac’s that comes true. A lady notices that she is being hit by a bus in one of Isaac’s paintings and gets mad. Moments later she is hit by a bus, just like in the painting.

Chapter 9 - LIFE BEFORE EDEN
This comic tells about the hard childhood Eden endured. Then one day she tells her step mother that she wished her stepmother would just die and her step mother dies. Too bad her super power didn’t work on Sylar ;)

Chapter 10 - TURNING POINT
This one was kind of cool, because it showcased Audrey Hanson, the blond female FBI agent. It takes place 3 months earlier in Chicago at a crime scene with Sylar staring right at Audrey. Audrey chases Sylar on a train and then winds up shooting at an old man that Sylar gave his coat to. Needless to say, Audrey is ticked off at Sylar.

Chapter 11 - FATHER & DAUGHTERS
After Sylar kills Eden, HRG (Noah Bennet) pays a visit to Eden’s dad to tell him the news. Things don’t go so well… for her Dad.

Chapter 12 - SUPER-HEROICS
Peter Petrelli has a bad dream. I think he must have eaten too much dessert the night before or something ;)

Chapter 13, 14, 15 AND 16 - WIRELESS PARTS ONE, TWO, THREE, AND FOUR
This series of four comics was our introduction to Hana Gitelman. It was a fun read and great way to introduce a new character before her appearance on the show.

Chapter 17 - HOW DO YOU STOP AN EXPLODING MAN? PART ONE
Part 1 of this series introduces Ted (the exploding man) and shows how Hana and Ted meet.

Chapter 18 - HOW DO YOU STOP AN EXPLODING MAN? PART TWO
Part 2 of this series shows Ted’s capture by the military and his escape. How hard would it be to keep nuclear man in prison anyway?

Chapter 19 - BULLY
This was an ok comic. Micah Sanders uses his power over electronic devices to scare some bullies. Not the best, and also not the worst, of the 52.

Chapter 20 - ROAD KILL
This was a really good segue between episodes that shows Sylar’s adventure between two episodes. It fills in the blanks nicely.

Chapter 21 - THE PATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS
This was interesting because it revealed that Hana was going on a separate mission from Ted and Officer Parkman. However, the comic is very graphic and very adult oriented.

Chapter 22 - HELL’S ANGEL
Chapter 22 is the story of how HRG met/saved Claire. It’s a nice read for Claire and HRG fans.

Chapter 23 - FAMILY MAN
This was a really good one. It told the story of what happened between two of the best episodes and it shows how Noah Bennet (HRG) befriends a former enemy (Hana).

Chapter 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 - WAR BUDDIES PART ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, AND SIX
This series was really good and introduced us to Linderman’s powers before they were revealed on the show. It revealed a very interesting connection between Linderman and the Petrelli family. Lastly, we get to see Hana trying to ruin Linderman’s plans and a secret website that lets you join the cause at Hana’s blog http://www.samantha48616e61.com/.

Chapter 31 and 32 - WALLS PART ONE, AND TWO
This was the story of how future Peter and future Nikki hooked up. It was a fun read.

Chapter 33 and 34 - THE DEATH OF HANA GITELMAN PART ONE AND TWO
This series wasn’t so much fun for me. Hopefully Hana isn’t really dead. I would like to see her character show up on the show again.

Chapter 35, 36, 37, and 38 - IT TAKES A VILLAGE PART ONE, TWO, THREE, AND FOUR
This series was a look into the Haitian’s super powers and about his Dad. It was pretty interesting.

Chapter 39, 40, 41, 42 - BETTY PART ONE, TWO, THREE, AND FOUR
This series was about Candice (aka Betty), the woman who changes what people see. It was kind of interesting, but definitely not my favorite heroes novels out of the bunch.

Chapter 43, 44, 45,and 46 - GOLDEN HANDSHAKE PART ONE, TWO, THREE, AND FOUR
This series focuses on Claude’s (the invisible man) first partner Haram and a conflict they had with Fusor a person who sucks all the water out people (yikes). It also introduces Claude’s new partner, Mr. Noah Bennet.

Chapter 47, 48 - HEROISM IS FOUND IN THE HEART PART ONE AND TWO
I really enjoyed these two comics. It shows a glimpse at Ando’s life when he returns to take Hiro’s job at the company in Japan where they both used to work. Ando also becomes a hero, himself, for Hiro’s sister Kimiko. This was a good read to help you understand why Ando and Kaito Nakamura (Hiro’s dad) were so close. I recommend reading these two chapters.

Chapter 49, 50 - BLACKOUT PARTS ONE AND TWO
This comic introduces a new person with super powers. I don’t if we will see him on the show, but if previous comics are any indication it is highly likely that he will show up on Season 2 of Heroes. Based on Peter’s new power, I think Peter has come in contact with the new character.

Chapter 51 - MAYA Y ALEJANDRO
Twins Maya and Alejandro carry some sort of super virus inside them and according to this comic they are coming to America to find Dr. Suresh. They made an appearance on Season 2’s first episode, which is what I expected.

Chapter 52 - FLYING BLIND
This comic was just a quick look into West (Claire’s new friend) and his ability to fly. It wasn’t really a big deal, but it did slightly ease my suspicions that West is a bad guy (only slightly).

So that is a quick recap of all the Heroes graphic novels to date. If you haven’t read them all, not to worry it really doesn’t take too long to read 52 Heroes Graphic Novels. Just set aside a few days ;)

and just think… there are more coming every week!

“Heroes” star Zachary Quinto (Sylar) To Be The Next Spock

“Heroes” star Zachary Quinto (Sylar) is set to be the next Spock in the next Star Trek movie scheduled for release Christmas of 2008.

Wow, I am really going to find it hard to get past the whole “Sylar” thing. I think that when I go to watch the next Star Trek movie I will be waiting all movie for Spock to turn into a bad guy that cuts people’s heads open to steal their alien powers.

Anyway, you can read more about the next Star Trek on MSN.

PS. Do you see a resemblance between Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy?

Interview with Hayden Panettiere of Heroes

Cool Interview with Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet of Heroes). Unfortunately, she doesn’t tell us who is coming back next season, but I will be writing a spoiler post on that soon enough…

Is Locke Really Dead?

I just got around to watching LOST and wasn’t surprised by the ending. You want to know why?

Earlier today, I was sitting at my computer and brought up Yahoo.com. One of the top stories read, “Is Locke Really Dead?” I was like, what the… Uggh! So, I kind of knew ahead of time that Locke was going to be in a life or death situation at the end of the show.

What makes this even more funny, is I went over to my favorite LOST Forum (lost-forum.com) to check out what people were saying about it. I starting reading a forum post and half way through the post someone compares Locke being killed to the person who was killed on Jericho. Guess what?

I haven’t gotten around to watching Jericho yet and now I know who died on it! Double Ugghh!

What made it even more hilarious was that before watching tonight’s show, I told my wife Jill that I wanted to watch LOST tonight and Jericho tomorrow because I knew a secret about the show. To which she responded, “Maybe we should watch Jericho, so that you don’t find out a secret about Jericho before we watch it.”

I responed by telling her there was NO WAY that would happen.

BOY WAS I WRONG! Teaches me for not taking Jill’s advice.

Long story short, Do you think Locke is dead? They can’t really kill him off, can they?
