Big Brother 8 just started and my wife and I have been watching it. What is really interesting this season is that one of the players (Eric) is playing for us. Eric is called America’s player. After every episode we get to vote on an assignment for Eric. Then Eric will complete that assignment. Eric will earn 10,000 dollars for every 5 assignments he completes.

It is a very interesting twist on the show. I kind of hope Eric stays around a long time, not only because he is America’s player, but also because he is pretty entertaining.

I am pretty ill this evening so I am keep this and my next post very short.

Janelle won the fans choice award and got 25,000 dollars from the fans.

Mike Boogie won Big Brother All-stars. I think he deserved it. He played an excellent game.

For coming in second, Erika got 50 thousand dollars - not something to sneeze at.

Also, the Dr. Will - Mike Boogie phone calls were fun to watch…

We got an email today from the folks over at TVSmack.com. They want us to spread the news to Big Brother fans– specifically to fans of Janelle Pierzina. What do they want you to do? Contact Pontiac to persuade them to give Janelle a car on the live show. In case you don’t watch Big Brother, Janelle had a chance to win a car in last week’s Head of Household competition, but lost the car to eventual HOH winner Mike “Boogie” Malin. Then she lost her place in the house when he gave her to boot.

The TVSmacksters do have a point. It would have required a virtual miracle for Janelle to beat Mike in that competition, but maybe she should have kept around Dr. Will Kirby. He probably would have been so smug, he might just have let her win the car

Tonight on Big Brother Mike managed to win HOH and he wisely evicted Janelle. So the final two are set - Erika vs. Mike.

Mike Boogie finds a way to win HOH. After giving up last night, I don’t think he even wants to win the Head of Household.

I am fairly sure Dr. Will from Big Brother is a Jedi Knight. That is one of the few logical explanations for people not voting him out every week. Just about every week I think he has conversations with every contestant on Big Brother All-Stars that goes something like this:

Contestant: Will, I am going to do everything I can to get you out of the house this week.

Dr. Will: You will not vote me out, you will keep me in the house.

Contestant: I will not vote you out, I will keep you in the house.

Dr. Will: You will make me pancakes for breakfast.

Contestant: I want to make you some pancakes for breakfast, how does that sound?

Dr. Will: That sounds great.

I am fairly sure this is how Will has stayed in the house so long…

Well, I am only going to give out quick updates of Big Brother, because I don’t like to discuss any of the bad stuff. Anyway, this evening James won the power of veto (as he always does when he wants to). George put Howie on the block and Howie went home.

Mike Boogie won head of household, so he won’t be using his special powers at all.

For a quick summary of tonight’s show:
Marcellas went home, Mike Boogie got the power of Coup D’Etat and George got the Head of Household. James and Erica are up for eviction. It’s a double eviction week.

So, I haven’t been blogging about this, but Jill and I have been watching Big Brother All Stars. It is amazing how well Dr. Will and Mike Boogie have played the game. I can’t believe they weren’t put up every week.

Anyway, I just had to comment on how amazing Will plays this game. I actually have gotten to the point where I am rooting for Will and Mike Boogie, because they are playing the game so well.
