Jericho - Why those cities?

I just found this excellent explanation for why the attackers in Jericho chose the particular cities that they chose. You can read it here on the Jericho forum scroll down towards the bottom to see the explanation.

Basically, the theory is that they chose Atlanta, Dallas, New York, Seattle, Philadelpha, Chicago, Denver, San Diego, San Francisco, LA, St. Louis, etc. because they are major Internet exchange points. I had been wondering why they attacked Dallas and not Houston. This makes sense to me. They wanted to bring down communication, so they needed to take down the Internet.

Although, somehow Hawkins manages to have an Internet connection. Obviously, he is either involved with the group who is trying to take over the country or he is trying to stop them. The show sure is trying to make him look like a bad guy, so maybe he really is a good guy.

Anyway, I definitely buy the theory that they were taking out the Internet. What a Bummer! I mean sure no food, water and gas is bad, but no Internet?

Oh, also did you see the look on Sayid’s face when Jin handled the gun like a pro? Sayid seemed awfully surprised…
