Top Ten Interesting Moments from the LOST Season 2 Finale

Last night was the season finale of LOST for season 2. I am not going to give a detailed recap here, because unless you watch the show on a regular basis you’re quite frankly going to be LOST. In fact, even if you watch the show you are likely to be LOST.

Note: If you did miss the show you can catch it on ABC’s rebroadcast page.

So instead I decided to give you a list of what I consider to be some of the most interesting moments on last night’s show:

10. When Henry said, We’re the good guys, Michael”
9. Russian sub Portuguese men finding Desmond’s location for his girlfriend
8. Desmond’s flashbacks
7. Locke saying he was wrong about the button
6. The Magnet in the Hatch causing destruction
5. Michael being told to drive the boat at 32.5 degrees and he will get off the island
4. Desmond’s Key
3. The giant statue of a four toed foot
2. When Desmond discovered that he might have caused flight 815 to crash
1. The Big White Light blast and the reaction of the others and Charlie to it

I am looking forward to next season. I hope Locke, Ecko and Desmond are still alive. I really like their characters.

What were the most interesting moments for you?

Note: Thanks to someone at The Pop View for the correction to number 9.

Farewell Sydney Bristow and Alias

Last night was the final episode of Alias. Over the years I have really enjoyed watching the show Alias, even some of the hoaky parts. The last season wasn’t nearly as good as it has been in the past, and I was quite frankly getting bored with it. However, I just had to find out how things ended.

In the final episdoe of Alias all the story lines were wrapped up. Sydney Bristow (played by Jennifer Garner), finally saved the world and she and her hubbie Michael Vaughn (played by Michael Vartan) lived happily ever after. With the noted exception of Sydney’s father (Jack Bristow) passing away at the end, everything worked out nicely.

Sark got away in the end, but Sloane didn’t. I kind of like Sark even though he is a bad guy (at least he didn’t want to destroy the world). I never trusted Irina (Sydney’s mom) and it turns out she was a bad guy.

There were a few questions I wish they had answered for me:

1. Is evil Francey really dead (never saw her dead body)?
2. At the end of the show Irina gets the ball that is full of the red liquid. Sidney says that it’s “The Horizon.” What is “The Horizon” and what power does it have?
3. What happened with Will’s wedding, did Sydney get to be the best man?
4. Does Sark ever caught?
5 … fill in the blank Rambaldi question (is he alive, etc.)

They left things open for a future Alias movie, although I doubt that will ever happen.

What are your thoughts? Were you disapointed with the finale of Alias or did you enjoy it? Did it answer all your questions?

LOST Theory

When we saw the preview for the upcoming episode of LOST it sounded as if the Losties might be getting off the Island. My first thought was, “What??? Are they ending the show?”

My guess is that most people don’t expect them to get off the Island, but my wife Jill had an interesting idea.

What if the Losties do get off the island? What if the Island isn’t the key to the show?

In the show Alias during the first season you might have come to the conclusion that SD6 was the key to the show. But when the CIA completely took out SD6, it turned out that SD6 was NOT the key to the show.

What if just like on Alias, things aren’t as they seem and the island is not the key to the show? What if the Losties get off the island and the show goes on?

It will be very interesting to see what happens in the season finale of LOST, I hope they get off the island. That would certainly spice things up…
